‘Formed in 1969 as The Hatfield Philharmonic we are the resident orchestra at the University of Hertfordshire in Hatfield ... The de Havilland Philharmonic Orchestra is a friendly group of musicians made up of talented amateurs, music teachers, and semi-professionals ... Generous support from UHArts, the University's Community Arts programme enables us to perform up to 7 concerts a year in the University's award winning Weston Auditorium.‘

‘Strives for innovation and inspiration in musical theatre, by staging newly released productions and giving a fresh interpretation to classic shows ... The company has staged several premieres ... Through our productions we hope to demonstrate that non-professional theatre can be as impressive and enjoyable as shows on the West End stage. We have an active membership of around 50 performers, supported by our production and front of house teams and over 100 Friends of Green Room ... The company presents two musicals a year at the Wyllyotts Theatre in Potters Bar.‘

'As a choir, we are open to all age groups, there is no audition and you don't need to be able to read music. We welcome people of different levels of experience, from those who say they are "tone deaf" to those who are confident singers ... We sing pieces from simple rounds to four part harmony; traditional and modern from all over the world ... Whatever we do, we try to make it FUN  ... We love to perform and enjoy singing at a host of venues across the community. If you would like us to perform for you at your event we would be happy to oblige but please give us several months notice.'

‘Established in 1961 ... contributing to the artistic and cultural life of Potters Bar and the surrounding area. With a repertoire ranging from Verdi to Gershwin, Mozart, Handel, JS Bach, Sir Arthur Sullivan and many other composers, the PBCS enjoy singing a wide variety of choral works, oratorio, part songs, opera and lighter music. Most importantly, the emphasis is on having fun!‘

‘Founded in 2002 ... as an amateur orchestra to provide an opportunity for people available during the day who wish to get together simply to enjoy making music ... As the word “rehearsal” implies there is no commitment to a formal programme of concerts, although we do occasionally play for schools and other groups ... Rehearsals, although originally in St.Albans, are now conducted in Hatfield, on Wednesday mornings during school term time. The orchestra is self funding through subscriptions from members, payable each term. There are no formal auditions although a reasonable playing standard is required.’

'St Mary's is a popular venue for concerts in Potters Bar ... Our free Lunchtime Concerts have been running for more than 25 years and offer a popular programme of varied music and a light lunch on the first Tuesday of each month (lunches from noon, recital starts at 12:30, with lunches resuming afterwards).' In addition, local choirs and orchestras can use the Church for performances.
