'We are an amateur ladies’ choir formed in October 2009, by Claire Lee, a teacher at Fairford Primary School. She gathered together a group of parents, teachers, friends and governors to sing at a concert to raise money for charity. We enjoyed ourselves so much we didn’t want to stop singing and have carried on since then ... We perform at concerts, community events and weddings.’

The Cleethorpes Ladies Choir was formed by the late Vera Burton in 1971 ... In 1996 the Choir changed its name to Grimsby & Cleethorpes Ladies Choir ... The Choir has performed with many well-known Bands ... Black Dyke Band, the Syd Lawrence Orchestra, the Band of the Royal Air Force Regiment, Carlton Main Frickley Colliery Brass Band, the City of Sheffield Pipe Band, and more locally, the Kingsway Printers Cleethorpes Band. Concerts with other Choirs and Bands regularly take place, often on an exchange basis, and various Charities have benefited from these performances. Smaller concerts in aid of local charities, singing at weddings and visits to entertain at Residential Homes all contribute to a busy calendar of events.'
