* Oxford and Cambridge Musical Club
Listing Details
'The Club was founded in 1899, when graduates of the two universities set up a residential Club in London where they could continue to make music after leaving university. Today the links are confined to the Club's name and history, and to become a member there is no need to have had any connection with Oxford or Cambridge ... Opportunities will be opened to perform chamber music, participate in ensembles and orchestral works or sing in operas, vocal ensembles or as a soloist. The emphasis is on achieving as high a standard as possible, making contacts and exploring new repertoire. You may wish to hone your performing skills, find like-minded musicians and singers to play with, or for those who just enjoy listening, we welcome non-performing members too ... Concerts (about twice a month) take place in University College London and some central London churches.'
