Founded 2019: 'A celebration of choral music from glorious Renaissance polyphony to effervescent arrangements of modern pop songs and everything in between ... Concerts in different venues around the small, picturesque town of Usk, in Monmouthshire featuring different choirs and a wide range of choral sounds.’ ALERT ‘The first Usk Choral Festival held in March 2019 was a spectacular success. Usk was full of happy faces all weekend with every concert sold out. The singing was spellbinding and audiences were moved to tears and cheers. Building on the success of the 2019 Festival it will now become a biennial event happening every 2 years.’ Next Festival Early March [2021].

‘A group of adult ladies who come together to discover the joy of music, have fun, and assist charitable causes. Since forming in 2011, the choir has flourished into a thriving, talented group of about 40 singers. We are proud of our diverse membership base and welcome everyone who loves to sing, from complete beginners to experienced choristers. We have a large and varied concert programme.’

‘A mixed SATB Choir with 70+ members ... In a typical year we perform a Spring Concert of short pieces of music (folk and pop songs & songs from musicals and operas, as well as sacred music), an Autumn Concert of classical works performed with professional soloists and orchestra, and Christmas concerts. It has also been our custom to sing an anthem in Welsh at the annual St David’s Day service at Newport Cathedral. We also perform for local charities, weddings and civic functions.’

‘A 24 strong choir based in Newport, South Wales, in the UK. The main objectives of the Choir were made clear from its inception: to make high-quality music from an eclectic and innovative repertoire; a determination that continues to be shared today by all of the Choir's members. The twenty-four members of the Choir range from young singers to semi-professional and professional singers with vast choral and soloist experience. The name is taken from Caerleon's Priory, where the Choir held their first rehearsals back in 1999. Since that time the Choir has earned a reputation as one of the most polished and versatile choirs in the principality.’
