'A Community Interest Company on The Isle of Arran which aims to promote live music events on the island throughout the year - all our profits are either reinvested in the company to ensure its continuance or used for the benefit of the local community.'
'A lively three days of folk music in Arran's main town, Brodick. Split between day sessions and evening concerts, the festival draws live bands and the odd troubadour from across the UK to the isle. There'll be workshops, too, for those who want to brush up on their musical skills.' Held Early June.

'Beith Arts' motive in organising this programme of events is to provide good music and art for the local community. Our concerts are social occasions as well as entertainment, where friends can meet and newcomers will get to know some local people, all over a cup of tea. We are delighted when folk come from elsewhere, and they get a warm welcome ...' ALERT ‘Here we are at the last Beith Arts Concert. In spite of much effort over the last couple of years, we have been unable to recruit a committee to keep us going, this will be our last hurrah!’ (23 April 2017)
‘Robert McLellan was the most important Scottish dramatist and short story writer to work in living Scots in the twentieth century and his influence on the world of Scottish writing has been crucial. McLellan spent most of his working life on Arran and in 2004, the Arran Theatre and Arts Trust decided to honour his contribution to Scottish culture by instigating a festival which would raise awareness and celebrate McLellan's work as well as encourage new work in his name ... The Festival focuses currently on poetry, music, film and drama as well as providing workshops for adults and young people.’ Held Early September.
Monthly concerts October through March presenting an eclectic range of performers.
‘We are a fun and uplifting choir based on the Isle of Arran for the soul purpose of singing and making music together.’
'Established in 1978, we are a mixed-voice (SATB) choir with willingness and enthusiasm. We don't take ourselves too seriously, but do reap the rewards of our efforts. Our musical repertoire is wide and varied and is not limited to classic and sacred works. Recent themes have included Scottish Folk, European, Gospel, Blues as well as classical choral spanning the centuries to new works and commisions.'
‘We play at community events, remembrance ceremonies, weddings, garden parties, street parties, christmas events, massed musical events, airshows, in restaurants and bars…. in fact we can probably play just about anywhere – we’ve even done a concert on top of a moving lorry! We have a wide range of musical genres to choose from our music library – so if you want the band to play a particular style or even a specific piece of music for your event, contact us and we’ll see what we can do! ... Thanks to generous grant funding, the band were able to start a youth programme for kids from as young as 6. The Brasslets programme is for children starting out on a brass instrument, you don't need your own instrument - you just need to bring yourself! As our Brasslets develop their skills, they will progress into the Youth Band.’
'A Society like this has so much fun to offer for anyone who loves melodic music and over the years many generations of the same families have been involved. Mums, Dads, teenagers, children - on stage, behind the scenes, working at front of house, administration or even just being patrons or showing an interest in the Society.'
'One of Scotland's most significant entertainment venues, the last fully operational seaside pavilion theatre in Scotland ... Barrfields Theatre User Group is a constituted organisation run by members of the five main users of Barrfields Theatre. The group has been set up to be non profit making and its main mission is to upgrade and improve the facility for both its users and audiences alike.'
