‘Come along and bring your ukulele, if you have one, or just listen. I would be very surprised if you could get through our Friday evening session without singing. It's very infectious and you'll be made to feel very welcome. If you don't want to play ukulele but love singing we are always looking for people to join the SUGS choir, who are very much part of the overall group sound.‘

'Non-auditioning female ensemble with a focus on fun! We do lots of tours, rehearse once a week and work hard/play hard. All are very welcome: With over 50-60 members attending our weekly rehearsals – we certainly have a lot to say (and sing) for ourselves!'

'Community wind band for all ages. We rehearse once a week during school term times, with three concerts a year in different locations. It seeks to provide players, particularly younger musicians, the chance to play together as a group and therefore to progress in their ability to play music alongside more experienced players (young and old) ... The band plays all types of music ... The challenge for the players is to learn new tunes from all genres for each concert, so you will always have a reason to practice.'

‘We are a group of male singers based in Potton, Bedfordshire. Currently we have about sixty members of all ages, mostly amateur singers drawn from the local area with a significant number travelling from different parts of the region ... We meet every week to rehearse and sing for our own pleasure and we take part in competitions and public performances throughout the year. Our repertoire is rich and varied, encompassing the roots of barbershop music, sentimental lullabies and stirring upbeat numbers. Timeless classics, hits from the musical theatre and modern standards all have their place.‘

'Mixed choir with about 60 members. The choir was started in 1969 by a group of people from St Mary’s Church who did not want their singing to be confined to Church music. From this beginning, we have grown into a happy and versatile group. We want as many people as possible to sing with us and come to our concerts. We sing choral, classical, carols, folk songs and show music. We are always keen to recruit new members so do come along to one of our rehearsals if you are interested.'
