‘A fun ukulele gathering for those wishing to play and where beginners & improvers are made very welcome. If you don't have your own instrument we will have spare ukuleles for you to use. if you have your own, bring it along for a strum and share your knowledge ... Remember you don't have to pay a fortune for a ukulele, an entry level instrument can be purchased for about £25.00 upwards from good music shops ... The Ukie-TooNes Ukulele gathering now has over 100 members. These are all amateur musicians who literally play for the fun of it and in the process raise money for very worthwhile charities. Every penny raised goes directly to charity.‘

We do two concerts a year – one usually at the start of May and the other at the start of October. Over the last few years we have added a pre-Christmas charity concert ...’

‘We currently have more than thirty five active players of all ages and standards. Our extensive library of over 400 pieces of music provides means we are able to play a wide range of music of differing genres which offers enjoyment and challenges for the beginner and experienced musician alike. Although the band has won many prizes and competitions over the years, it no longer contests but remains very active with many public performances such as formal concerts, bandstands, fetes and garden parties throughout the year. As well as the full brass band, we often perform as a smaller ensemble suitable for the occasions when 30 or more players are just too many!’
