'We play a range of music from the classical repertoire, some in arrangements for youth orchestra, some as originally written. GYO has given first performances of several works written specially for the orchestra and our conductor. At the end of each term, after about ten rehearsals, David Wright conducts the orchestra in a public concert.'

‘The GO-Godalming Association launched the annual Music in the Park in 2006 to provide local people and visitors alike with an occasion at which they could enjoy a range of outdoor concerts - and to provide these free for music lovers to enjoy ... Music in the Park is held on the Godalming Bandstand on The Bury’s next to St Peters and St Paul’s Church come rain or shine - although in extreme weather we may decamp to the parish church next door. The show must always go on!’
