‘The Silver Band is currently ranked nationally as a Championship Section brass band and performs in concerts and contests across the region ... Haverhill Youth & Community Band is a supporting group that has its own engagements and helps train players for the Silver Band ... The aim of this band is to train players to the standard where they can join the senior band and so maintain the long tradition and high standard of brass playing in Haverhill. We also, however, hope to give all the players an enthusiasm for playing and for brass bands that they can take with them wherever they go.‘

'From accomplished choralists to tuneful have-a-go singers, HCS attracts a large (and growing) crowd. The one thing we have in common is our love of singing. Some members have been with us over 30 years, others only joined at the last rehearsal. As a newcomer you will naturally be sitting amongst more experienced members, only too willing to make your first few visits much smoother. We aim to entertain with an average of three main concerts per calendar year. Alongside are a number of social events; held both for our own entertainment and for the general public.' ALERT ‘In October 2017, Haverhill Choral Society changed its name to “Haverhill Singers” to reflect the wide range of music, beyond the traditional choral repertory we perform, whilst still retaining the historical connection to Haverhill.’
