'A place of musical excellence where adults and children can learn an instrument and rehearse with others in a relaxed and friendly setting. We have an open door policy so why not come in to see us on a Saturday morning and see what people get up to in the name of music. We can’t promise that it will make you more attractive or provide superhuman powers. We can, however, promise you fun and the ability to take up something that might very well change your life.'

Our name comes from Queen Katherine of Aragon, who was sent to live at Buckden Palace after her divorce from King Henry VIII in 1533; in 1534, she moved to nearby Kimbolton Castle, where she died in 1536. The choir was formed 450 years later, in September 1986 ... We have a varied repertoire and perform regularly at local venues, usually to help raise money for various charities.’

Founded 1962: ‘As for the future, whilst some male choirs are thriving, the national total is in decline, and sadly the opportunity to sing in a male choir may be denied to many. We believe that every adult male who can carry a tune should treat himself to the very special experience of singing as part of a group by giving a choir like ours a try. We welcome absolute beginners as well as experienced singers, and we provide learning aids and coaching to individual needs‘.

‘Originally called "Vocal Academy" we are now proud to call ourselves "Ouse Valley Chorus". The change in name was to reflect our geographical reach and to let people know who we are. Based in Huntingdon, Ouse Valley Chorus was formed in 2001 when a group of men who enjoy singing all kinds of music decided to get together once a week to practice their hobby. Since that time it has gained a reputation for exciting, top quality performances with many successful entries into national and regional competitions over the years.’
