‘The aims and objectives of Fife Electronic Organ Society are to "promote and encourage interest in organ music and the appreciation thereof". We hope we achieve this by engaging top class artistes to entertain our members and many visitors alike and cultivating friendships between people who have a common interest in listening to and playing "middle of the road music" on electronic organ. The Society has nearly 100 members and has remarkable success ... All visitors are offered a warm welcome.’
‘The finest chamber music in the finest setting ... We look forward to welcoming present and new patrons to another full and varied programme. A season ticket, giving seven performances for the price of four is excellent value. The Society is very friendly and welcoming. If you already have a taste for classical music you may already be attending. If you were unaware of our concerts or unfamiliar with classical music why not give it a try?.‘
‘Buckhaven Town Band was founded in 1905 competing at all levels, amalgamating with Wellesley Colliery in 1976 to become Buckhaven & Methil Miners’ Brass Band ... “Buckhaven Brass Beginnings” was formed in 2007 and used to have around 12 youngsters enjoying learning to play brass instruments. A lot of these youngsters are now full members of the band and we are now trying to recruit the next generation of learners to provide new players for the band in the years to come.’

'We are a group of about 40 ladies, of all ages and backgrounds, who enjoy singing! Our repertoire is varied and includes many well known songs as well as some interesting new material. There's something for everybody! Although we are based in East Fife, we perform all over Fife and beyond.'
'Formed in 1957 in the Wemyss area of Fife, with a backing of the coal Industry Social Welfare Organisation. It was a great outlet for the Miners and others who joined, being able to sing and socialise with like-minded men as and still is today a great pastime.'
'Essentially like any other amateur musical company - the members come from all walks of life, there are more women than men, as the performance dates come around we wonder if it will ever be ready, but afterwards its all been worthwhile and before long we are setting off on next year's venture ...'
'The town’s links to Gilbert & Sullivan extend back through the centuries - their work was performed here as early as the 1870s ... Throughout the 1930s there were varying bodies of thought about what to perform; some wanting the new musicals of the day, and others wanting to continue with the operettas of Gilbert & Sullivan. In 1939 a group of enthusiasts for G&S proposed that a Gilbert & Sullivan Society be formed - the motion was carried unanimously ... but the outbreak of war saw those plans put on hold. It was not until 1950 that they managed to put on the full show ... Since that point in time, the Society has produced a G&S Operetta most years, occasionally deviating on a few occasions to a similar style of work ...'
