‘Nestled between mature woodlands and heritage architechture, our aim is to build the best-loved community festival in Wales, committed to celebrating and showcasing the vibrancy, diversity and creative spirit of Radnorshire and beyond ... We do it because we love music, and dancing, we love theatre, and art, poetry, playing, food, drink, crafts, colour, sounds, zip, zap and zooom! And of course, we love Radnorshire. This is our way of bringing friends, families and our community together, simply to have fun – wherever you are, come and join us!' Held Mid June.

'In recent years the Choir has toured in Germany, France, Ireland and the Czech Republic as well as many trips in Wales and the rest of the UK to sing with other choirs and entertaining many thousands of people in venues ranging from tiny churches and village halls to the more impressive surroundings of St David’s Hall and the Millennium Centre and of course the Albert Hall. Most concerts are in support of local and national charities and the Choir have been honoured to be invited to sing at weddings and funerals in the local community.'

'We are a non-auditioned, mixed, four-part choir of around 40 members and are based for rehearsals in the village of Howey on the outskirts of Llandrindod Wells. Members are drawn from Llandrindod Wells and the surrounding areas. Our reportoire is wide but whilst some, but far from all, of the works we perform were originally written as church music we are not a religious organisation - we just love great music.'

‘An amateur choir of about 50 members which meet regularly ... in Llanfair Waterdine, near Knighton. The choir's motto is "Friendship through Music" and true to that everyone is welcome if they can learn or read a vocal part and if they can sing in tune! ... Obviously, we love to sing, and thankfully our concerts are usually very well supported. This gives us the opportunity to raise funds through our concerts for local charities and for good causes further afield, which is very important to us as a group.’

'On a cold winter’s evening in 1957, Tom Edwards a farmer, Rhys Jones manager of Barclays Bank in Rhayader, Afon Jones lorry Driver and Afon Davies lorry Driver met in the Cwmdauddwr Arms in Rhayader for the inaugural meeting of the Rhayader and District Male Voice Choir. Its strength lay in the enthusiasm and dedication to learn and sing music of its some three dozen members who were eager to set themselves up as a competent male voice choir. From those early days the choir went forward to face the 60’s with enthusiasm, competing with great success in many local eisteddfodau and other competitive festivals throughout Mid-Wales ...'
