'We aim to have something for everyone; traditional, modern, shanties, comedy, dance and sessions just for musicians, so they don’t feel left out. Entry (mostly) will be FREE, with a collection for the guests that night and a free raffle. Together with our sister clubs in Bedworth and Nuneaton, we aim to provide the best of folk music in the Midlands.'

'The Club is quite unique in that there is no admission charge despite the fact that there are top rate guests at almost every meeting (we just pass the jug around so you can give as much or as little as you wish: a minimum of the price of a pint - around about £3 - £5 is suggested). Our aim is always for everyone, guests, audience and floor singers alike to have a really good time.Floor singers are always welcome but we get very busy so we recommend a call or email to reserve a spot, on the night it is very much first come first served – if there is space available.'

'Although over the years the Festival has grown into quite a large event it has still retained its unique “intimate” atmosphere: You can enjoy a whole week-end of music, song and dance for little more than the price of just a concert! – It’s a Festival to ”get involved in” – where the audience is (at least!) as important as the guests! – It’s where the folk scene meets for its Christmas Party – for a good sing, dance and play, a good story, a good drink, some good company, and a really good time! – It’s the place to be at the end of the Festival season! ….. and it is the UK’s biggest annual winter folk event!'
