'Founded on the 31st October 1996, and was initially known as The Feathers Folk Club ... The new name, Ruthin AllStyles Music Club was chosen to reflect the fact the club has always appealed to very diverse tastes in both music and indeed poetry. This means that in each session there is music that will appeal to everyone’s tastes ...  We also encourage new visitors to “have a go” if they should want to. And although the atmosphere has always been relaxed, when performers are doing their bit, the audience gives them full and quiet attention. Every couple of months a professional singer or instrumentalist visits us, and it can be a great inspiration to the members to see these seasoned performers close up.'

Although we are not a competitive choir, we have been successful in being prize winners at the Stenna Choral Competition, Llandudno and The Pan Celtic Festival at Tralee. We are an extremly busy choir, in regular demand for concerts and weddings.’

'Way back in the autumn of 1974 a group of people met up in a pub in Ruthin to formally set up The Ruthin & District Amateur Operatic Society, whose brief was to perform the works of Gilbert and Sullivan ... In 2009 it was decided to change the name of the society to “Ruthin Musical Theatre” – the word “Operatic” in the original name was thought to be possibly a bit restrictive and off-putting. But the aim of the group remained exactly the same – to present their productions of a broad range of musical shows to the people of the Vale of Clwyd.'
