’We have changed our name and the Weymouth Music Festival is now the Weymouth and Dorset Music Festival, to reflect the wide area from which our entrants are drawn. We have even had entrants from as far afield as Devon and Somerset! The Weymouth and Dorset Music Festival is a non-competitive festival open to all musicians of all ages and abilities. Entrants have the rare opportunity to perform their music in front of an audience – many for the first time – and get feedback from a highly qualified and friendly adjudicator.’ Held Early March.

‘A vibrant and lively Weymouth based choir with members from all over Dorset. We love harmony, singing songs of all types from all over the world, unaccompanied ... We put on several concerts each year and also sing for weddings and other special events ... Whether nervous beginner or seasoned singer you will be equally welcome. There are no auditions and no need to sing on your own. We normally sing in 4 part harmony - men's and women's voices ... Imagine a life without friends, fun or music. Such was the fate of the Quangle Wangle Quee in Edward Lear's poem until things took a turn for the better ...’
