‘Free Sunday afternoon brass band concerts ... Bands In The Park is a series of summer outdoor concerts, largely organised by volunteers, providing free live music for all to enjoy.‘ About a dozen venues in Warwickshire, Worcestershire - and Gloucestershire promoted by the organizers of Evesham Bands in the Park.

‘Exists to promote all aspects of early music in the Midlands of England ... We concentrate on music from the Mediaeval, Renaissance and Baroque periods. We’re very proud of our workshop programme which aims to provide opportunities across this wide spectrum of historic creativity ... See our Events Diary for details of upcoming events. We aim to use venues which are in reach of public transport and in different locations around the Midlands area so there should be something you can get to. And in a bid to encourage the next generation, Students can come free of charge.’

‘A week-long programme of choral and orchestral concerts, cathedral services, solo and chamber music recitals, masterclasses, talks, theatre, exhibitions and walks, rotating each summer between the beautiful English cathedral cities of Hereford, Gloucester and Worcester. It is the oldest non-competitive classical music festival in the world.’ Held Late July - Early August.

‘The Midlands Area Brass Band Championships are one of the most hotly contested competitions in the UK. Each year, over 80 bands compete in the five sections for the chance to represent the area at the National Finals ... and to determine the grading positions for the following year ... The regional championships is an independant contest run by the regional committee.‘

‘The Association exists to provide support for all member bands within the West Midlands and surrounding area. During the year, the association host a number of events including an annual contest, youth training day and various master classes and seminars. The association is funded entirely by subscriptions from member bands. The association is run by a committee of volunteers comprised of members of local bands.’
