'The American Theatre Organ Society was founded in 1955 by a group of dedicated theatre-organ enthusiasts in America, whose main aim was to preserve the musical magic of the mighty theatre organ for future generations. Such was the success of their endeavours that new "Chapters" as the Americans called them, Branches to us, began to flourish throughout the length and breadth of the land. Today the society has thousands of members in nineteen different countries - thus making it by far the largest theatre organ society in the world. There are now chapters in countries as far away as Australia and New Zealand, whilst the United Kingdom is represented by the London and South of England Chapter which boasts a membership of nearly 160 enthusiasts all bound by a genuine love for theatre pipe-organ and its captivating sounds.'

‘A mixed choir of more than 60 voices who are based in and around the Woking and West Byfleet area of Surrey, performing both sacred and secular music ... The choir performs at least three concerts each year in the Spring, the Summer and at Christmas and tries to achieve a balance of singing new and lesser known works in addition to the firm favourites which are well known to audiences ... The choir has always set out to be the friendliest in the area. New members rarely leave, because a heavy emphasis is placed on enjoyment both at rehearsals and in concert. For this reason, auditions are not required, and voices of all standards are invited to join. An ability to read music is an advantage, but not essential.‘

Mosaic aims not only to perform to a high standard but also to entertain our audiences. We sing music from Renaissance to the present day, both secular and sacred. Composers range from Tallis to Tavener, Bizet to The Beatles and beyond. In addition our concerts are often interspersed with vocal and instrumental solos performed by some of the talented musicians in the choir.’

‘One of Surrey’s leading orchestras. For over a century the WSO has offered music lovers in Woking and beyond the opportunity to enjoy live performances of great orchestral music right on the doorstep ... The WSO has long supported the musical development of young people. We perform three evening concerts a year and often feature promising young instrumentalists as concerto soloists ... We also stage an afternoon family concert each January. These are enthusiastically received, especially as the children stay afterwards to have a go on the various instruments – percussion being particularly popular.’
